Drive

In drive it starts off with a man surrounded by darkness peering out the window on a dark city whilst talking on the phone. We have no idea who he is and what he is doing but all we hear him say is some sort of agreement with whoever he is talking to on the phone about having 5 minutes. Then after the phone call, he then starts driving in order to go pick up a car which we see happen.

Soon after picking up a car he then watches a robbery takes place and acts as the driver to get the two robbers away. The reason why he had to pick up a certain car was because it way the most used one in the California, which adds to him having the ability to not get caught. In the picture above we see him attaching a watch to the car steering wheel and this refers back to when he was on the phone about giving the robbers 5 minutes to do what they are doing. There is then tension as one robber gets out with the money or whatever he was trying to get, but the other is still in there, and the timer is ticking. The reason why this builds suspension and tension as an audience is because during the phone call the driver spoke about how they had 5 minutes to do it or he will leave, and so we are wondering what will happen.

Finally the other robber shows up and they drive away. However, there is still a lot of enigma and mystery surrounding why this took place and who the driver is because is mainly focused in this opening.

  1. Unfortunately Dave, you tend to just describe here. You need to analyse.
You have at least submitted something, which is better than some.
