Shot Reverse Shot

Shot Reverse Shot

Shot reverse shot very commonly occurs when two characters are interacting in dialogue and the idea of it is that when one person is talking, the camera would be behind the listeners shoulder. Once they have stopped talking then the camera would then change and switch to behind the other persons. however, it doesn't have to be in a certain position. As long as the cameras stay in the 180 degree line and doesn't break that rule then it can be anywhere as long as it continuously switches between two characters.
